Winter 2024 Recreational Season

  • Registration Opens: December 1, 2023

All Saturday u8 and u10 Recreational Games will be played at Slim's Sports Center: 938 Middletown Warwick Rd, Middletown, DE 19709

All Saturday u12/u14 Recreational Games will be played at Cantwell's Bridge Middle School: 550 Tony Marchino Dr, Townsend, DE 19734

The u8 division will play as coed teams with every effort made to balance the teams 50/50 boys and girls.  The u10 division will play as boys and girls teams.  The u12 and u14 divisions will be merged into one u12/u14 division separated by boys and girls teams.

In order to receive your uniform before the season starts you must order it before December 15.

Uniforms this year are Orange and Navy. Players that have the Orange and Black from previous years will be able to continue to wear them.

We will not have practices for this season.

  • NO REFUNDS once season starts other than medical reasons (doctors note may need to be provided)
  • If before the season starts, you determine your child cannot play for any reason, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. Refunds are processed back to the credit card that the registration was made with, however it can take between 30 to 60 days to receive your refund check after you submit your request.
  • Teammate and coach request are accepted for U14, granted registration is completed by 12/15/2023.  

Equipment and Uniforms

  • In order to receive your uniform before the season it is recommend to order it before December 15.
  • Members can wear a plain matching t-shirt until their order has arrived.
  • Uniforms this year are Orange and Navy jerseys. Players must purchase each color jersey or use the Orange and Black kits from previous years.

ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO EARRINGS CAN BE WORN AT ANY TIME EVEN IF THEY ARE TAPED OR COVERED. No watches, necklaces, or jewelry may be worn.  NO CLEATS ARE ALLOWED FOR THE WINTER SEASON - only flats, turf shoes, or sneakers are permitted.
 

DIVISION INFORMATION:

Under 8: 4 on the field at a time - NO GOALIES (4v4). Max Roster of 8 with girls and boys. Minimum of 50% of girls on the field at all times. Players continue to work on dribbling, passing, and shooting. All out of bounds restarts will start with a kick-in. A referee is assigned to each game to manage the game. Games consist of four 10-minute quarters with 5 minutes for warmup, 3 minutes in between periods, and 5 minutes to clean-up after the game.
 
Under 10: 4 on the field plus one goalie (5v5). Max Roster of 10
We offer both Boys and Girls divisions. A referee is assigned to each game to manage the game. Games consist of two 20-minute halves with 5 minutes for warmup, 5 minutes for half time, and 5 minutes to clean-up after the game. 
 
Under 14: 5 on the field plus one goalie (6v6). Max Roster of 12
We offer both Boys and Girls divisions. A referee is assigned to each game to manage the game. Games consist of 40-minute running clock with 5 minutes for warmup and 5 minutes to clean-up after the game. 
 
Every player is expected to play 50% of every game unless by their own choice or a parent's request. We do our best to keep team sizes limited to guarantee that every player can get 50% playing time. However, over the years we have received equally as much feedback about teams with too few players (even when the team is at max recommended team size) and teams with too many, Due to vacations and other conflicts not all players show up every week which can leave teams shorthanded. We also have about 10-15% of late registrations, so this can add a significant number of players in a division. We typically we need to create two teams at a time to make scheduling work which can then make team sizes too small. Our Board Members and Directors do everything we can to make this work out for everyone involved
 
There will be 5 game days for each divisions this season.

GAME DAY INFORMATION:

For U8-U10, all games are played on Saturdays between 2 PM and 5 PM at Slim's Sports Complex in Middletown, DE.

For U14, all games are played on Saturdays between 9 AM and 3PM at Cantwell Bridge Middle School in Odessa, DE,
