Delaware Union Soccer Club Announces the Hiring of Tara O'Brien to the Role of Club Administrator

MIDDLETOWN, DELAWARE, Jan 15, 2023 — The Board of Directors of the Delaware Union Soccer Club is pleased to announce the hiring of Tara O'Brien for the role of Club Administrator, effective immediately.

Jeff Martino, Board President of Delaware Union Soccer Club, believes the Club continues to upgrade our soccer operations staff to improve the future for Youth in soccer in the Middletown Delaware area. “Hiring Tara has once again given our club an upgrade. She is fantastic, joyful and loves soccer. We are looking forward to seeing how she will make her own mark on the club,” said Jeff.

Tara has extensive soccer playing and coaching experience. She still holds all-time records at Lincoln University in goals, assists, points, game-winning goals and shots on goal.

Coaching experience

UEFA C License from England Football Learning
Assistant Coach at Division I Soccer at Youngstown State University 2017-2019
U8 - U18 Travel teams
1on1 and small group private training sessions 2014-present including recreational, travel, high school, college and professional players

Playing experience

Signed for Fulham Centre of Excellence (Academy)
Signed for Fulham Ladies professional team aged 16-18
Full soccer scholarship to Lincoln University
All-American and NCAA Statistical Leader for points per game in 2012
Currently still hold all-time records at Lincoln University in goals, assists, points, and game-winning goals
Signed for Ocean City Nor'easters 2017
